Have fragrance of rose, strength of tiger: Syedna to Bohras
Nagpur: “Life is precious, lead a life of righteousness, gratitude and contentment,” said Syedna Mufaddal Saifuddin, 53rd leader of worldwide Dawoodi Bohra community here on Thursday while delivering a sermon at Badri Masjid in Itwari.
Addressing thousands of community members who gathered from various parts of the country, Syedna Saifuddin counselled them to spread love and happiness in society by referring to the famous Japanese Rose Garden in Nagpur. “The fragrance of rose has a calming effect on stress and depression while fostering hope and positivity in everyone,” Syedna said.
He hailed Nagpur’s role as ‘Tiger Capital of India’. Drawing parallels with the qualities of a tiger, Syedna guided community members to show strength, power and determination in facing challenges, while being humble and compassionate within. This dual nature forms a balanced and resilient character, he said.
In a strong message to youths, Syedna cautioned them against engaging in detrimental habits and urged them to adopt a healthy lifestyle for their physical and mental wellbeing.
Fruitful Vidarbha visit
Syedna Mufaddal Saifuddin arrived in Nagpur on December 26, 2023, after which he left for Amravati. During his Vidarbha visit, Syedna met community members in Murtizapur, Akola, Washim, Wardha and Chandrapur. He visited their houses, enquired about their well-being and delivered sermons to guide them towards living fulfilling and productive lives.
Syedna returned to Nagpur on December 30 for a few days during which he visited Burhani Masjid in Sadar and Hakimi Masjid in Shanti Nagar. He also inaugurated the newly built community kitchen at Tandapeth, visited the state-of-the-art MSB Educational Institute and inaugurated the Saifee Business Expo. During his stay in the city, Syedna interacted with Dawoodi Bohra members and also met people from all walks of life.
Expressing his emotions on Syedna’s visit to the city, Najmuddin Fidvi, secretary of Dawoodi Bohra community in Nagpur, said, “These past two weeks have been extremely eventful, filled with the enlightenment and joy of hosting Syedna in our region. We will cherish the memory of his visit and the teachings he shared with us for years to come.”
“We are grateful for the support and cooperation extended by locals and the authorities of Nagpur which have been instrumental in Syedna’s visit,” he added.
Syedna will leave Nagpur for Ahmedabad on Saturday (January 6).
WHAT THEY SAY
It was a great moment for the Dawoodi Bohra community of Nagpur as Syedna is visiting to bless us after 7 long years. As a medical professional, I have seen multiple initiatives taken by Syedna to uplift the community and society at large. From providing medical counselling to organising health camps and providing monetary help to those in need, the medical arm of the community helps in every way possible. Community immunization drive, women’s health (cancer detection), dental & ophthalmic care are some of the other notable initiatives undertaken. Before his visit to Nagpur, a mega blood testing camp was organized to detect life style disease where 3000 members were investigated and given management advice.

I have always adhered to Syedna’s guidance in winning the trust of consumers by dealing in fair business practise. Like his father Syedna Mohammed Burhanuddin, Syedna Mufaddal Saifuddin continues to guide us, especially youngsters to stay deeply rooted in the faith while looking at being trending setters in business and helping elders

These are one of the Moderate and Positive sects among Muslims along with Ahmediyasa dn Sufism followers, followed by Shias (In India of course, I will leave the Iran and its coterie aside). Most of these of course are not considered Muslims by their hard-counterparts.Read allPost comment
