Gaikwad-Patil College lays foundation for new social work wing

Nagpur: The Tulsiramji Gaikwad-Patil College of Engineering & Technology laid the foundation of its social wing, the Ramraoji Gaikwad-Patil Foundation (SRGPF), on the occasion of the birthday of the college's vice-chairman, Akash Gaikwad-Patil. Marking its inauguration on a gracious note, the foundation donated a cheque of Rs1 lakh to the Saath Foundation, an organisation dedicated to the welfare of senior citizens and orphaned children.The event commenced with a soulful prayer by students of the Tarang Musical Club, accompanied by musical performances. A video presentation showcasing the journey of Akash Gaikwad-Patil, narrated by members of the Mavericks Club, added a personal touch to the celebration.Parag Dongare, president of the Saath Foundation, and an alumnus of the college, expressed heartfelt gratitude for the generous contribution. He credited the institution for shaping him into a compassionate individual committed to social welfare. The programme was graced by the chairman Mohan Gaikwad-Patil, GPGI member Vinod Gaikwad, principal Premanand Naktode, vice-principal Pragati Patil, Rashmi Mahulkar (director, IT), Mukul Pande (director, finance), Surekha Raut (director, KS Global), deans, HoDs, registrar, faculty members, and students of Mavericks Club.
