Mysuru: The higher education department has formed a three-member inquiry committee to investigate the allegations of rampant corruption in the Karnataka State Eligibility Test held between 2019 and 2021 by the University of Mysore.
MP Pratap Simha who had lodged a complaint in this regard with UGC and the state government alleged that it is a Rs 300 crore scam. Snehal Sudhakar Lokhande, deputy secy, higher education dept, Shailaja VR, registrar, UoM, and UoM finance officer Sangeetha Gajanana Bhat are the part of the committee.
“The committee is directed to file a detailed report in a month’s time,” said Simha.
