MUMBAI: The Bandra Kurla Complex (BKC) police registered an FIR against a scooterist for rash and negligent driving that led to his death and that of his friend, after the scooter he was riding, with his friends as pillion riders, lost control and crashed into a road divider near the family court in Bandra (East) on May 10.

Due to the impact the rider, Fayyaz Ahmed Ansari (30) and the two others Naveed Alam Afroz Alam Idrisi (23), and Sohail Kha were thrown to the other side of the road. "The trio were on the scooter without helmets. It seems that the Ansari was riding at high speed and he lost control of his scooter," said a police officer of the BKC police station. The other pillion rider, Khan, survived with injuries while the other two succumbed to their injuries.
