Corona mascot

Mumbai-based NGO, SNEHA (Society for Nutrition Education and Health Action) carried out the 'Corona gaya nahi? Corona gaya nahi.' campaign in Dharavi, which is also aligned to the BMC's Mission Zero campaign. The campaign aims to make people understand that coronavirus still exists and that everyone should continue taking precautions. On Monday, a 'Coronavirus' mascot was paraded around various communities in Dharavi. Lok Sabha MP found dead

Mohan Delkar, a seven-term Lok Sabha member from Dadra and Nagar Haveli, was found dead in a Mumbai hotel on Monday. The body of Delkar (58), Independent MP from Dadra and Nagar Haveli Union Territory, was found at a sea-facing hotel in south Mumbai's Marine Drive area. A suicide note in Gujarati was also found along with the body. The cause of death will be known after an autopsy is conducted. Cops issue challans

The Mumbai Police is now authorised to issue challans to people for not wearing masks in public places, in the wake of COVID-19 cases rising in the city. Wear mask, avoid lockdown

Several violators were issued challans outside Andheri station by Mumbai Police personnel on Monday for not wearing masks. Chief Minister Uddhav Thackeray has stated that a decision on whether lockdown will be imposed once again will be taken only after observing the behaviour of citizens in public. 'Yahi Hai Achhe Din?'

In order to protest against the hike in fuel prices, Yuva Sena, the youth wing of Shiv Sena has put up banners stating 'Yahi hai acche din?' at various petrol pumps and by the roadside in Bandra West. The banners show a price comparison of petrol, diesel and gas from the year 2015 to 2021. The big banners put up at various places mention that the price of petrol was Rs 64.60 in 2015 and it has now crossed Rs 96 per litre in Mumbai. It states that while diesel was priced at Rs 52.99 six years ago, one litre of diesel now costs Rs 88 (in Mumbai). Photo: ANI
