Mumbai's AQI improves

Mumbai's Air Quality Index (AQI) improved to 108 on Wednesday, making it the cleanest air in the city this year. According to the System of Air Quality Weather Forecasting and Research (SAFAR), an AQI between 101 and 200 is considered moderate and doesn’t pose any health problems to the general public. Unique art

In the frame are Mrs Katyayini Menon, who has been secretary for 50 years, and artist Bibhuti Adhikary. Adhikary's installation that is seen in the frame is very unique. It is made up of 600-odd PVC pipes. As the pipes are rolled, you get to see 12 compositions on environment conservation.

Mumbai-Pune E-way accident

Six people were killed and at least five others were injured in a major accident on Mumbai-Pune Expressway. The accident took place around 1:30 am on Tuesday near Khalapur toll plaza, on the lane towards Mumbai, due to a multiple-vehicle collision. The collision took place after a speeding truck driver lost control over his vehicle, reportedly due to brake failure. Among those deceased include four members from a Navi Mumbai family and a woman from Goregaon.

FASTag mandatory

Things turned chaotic at the Talegaon toll plaza on the Mumbai-Pune Expressway after FASTag was made mandatory from February 15. On Tuesday, scores of vehicles were stuck in a traffic jam near the toll plaza because motorists either did not have a FASTag, or they did not have money in their FASTag accounts. Officials at the toll plaza even issued new FASTags to people who did not have one using their mobile numbers and their vehicle's RC card and PAN Card linked to the RC Card.
