Munmun Dhamecha seeks discharge in drugs-on-cruise case

MUMBAI: Model Munmun Dhamecha, an accused in the 2021 drugs-on-cruise bust, on Tuesday moved a special court seeking discharge from the case and pleaded for parity with actor Shah Rukh Khan's son Aryan, who was also arrested, but later given a clean chit by the NCB.

Dhamecha and Aryan were granted bail by Bombay HC on October 28, 2021. In May 2022, the NCB filed a chargesheet, but did not name Aryan and five others due to lack of sufficient evidence. It named Dhamecha as an accused. In her application filed in the special court, through advocate Kashif Ali Khan Deshmukh, Dhamecha claimed she was implicated in the case.
