Mumbai rains: Heavy rain lashes city; Andheri subway shut due to waterlogging
MUMBAI: Rain lashed several parts of Mumbai on Wednesday morning
The Andheri subway was closed to traffic at 7.40am due to water accumulation and reopened at 8.24am after the water level receded.
Mumbai recorded 0.96mm of rainfall in the island city, 9.84mm in the western suburbs and 1.25mm in the eastern suburbs between 7am and 8am.
In the western suburbs, Versova recorded 69mm of rainfall, followed by Vile Parle (52mm), Andheri East (49mm), Andheri West (46mm), Vile Parle (33mm) and Santacruz (30mm). In the eastern suburbs, Chembur recorded 12mm of rainfall.
