Mayor visits Poddar Hospital
Mumbai Mayor Kishori Pednekar on Tuesday visited Poddar Hospital in Worli and reviewed the ongoing Covid-19 vaccination process. She also interacted with the senior citizens who had come to take the vaccine dose. Pednekar received the first dose of the vaccine on March 4 at the Bandra Kurla Complex facility.
For the last few weeks, Mumbai has been witnessed a rise in the number of coronavirus cases. Last month, Pednekar had warned that the city would head towards another lockdown if people did not follow Covid-19 norms.
Fire breaks out in Thane
A major fire broke out at five plants of a plastic factory in Asangaon in the wee hours on Tuesday. According to preliminary information, the incident took place at Krishna Promotion Company near Padgha village. No one has been injured in the incident. Thane Municipal Corporation's Regional Disaster Management Cell (RDMC) chief, Santosh Kadam, said that the cause of the fire is yet to be ascertained.
BJP MLAs protest against MVA govt
Several Bharatiya Janata Party MLAs protested against the Maha Vikas Aghadi government over yesterday's budget announcement. The MLAs protested at the steps of the Vidhan Bhavan. Fadnavis demands Vaze’s arrest
BJP leader Devendra Fadnavis demanded the arrest of police officer Sachin Vaze in Mansukh Hiren's death case. Fadnavis' remark comes amid an ongoing war of words between the government and the Opposition BJP over the issue. “Why he is not being arrested under Section 201 of IPC (destroying evidence) Who is defending him?," asked Fadnavis. The former Maharashtra Chief Minister also said that Vaze (who was investigating officer in case of recovery of explosives near Mukesh Ambani's house) was in possession of the suspected car (in which explosives were found) for four months. Shelar’s new ‘scam’ alert
BJP leader and MLA Ashish Shelar on Tuesday alleged a 'scam' in allocation for electric vehicle charging centres. The Maharashtra government has planned an outlay of Rs 9,453 crore for setting up mega electric vehicle charging centres.
