Heatwave in Mumbai

With a scorching sun overhead and temperature soaring in the Maximum City, a heatwave condition is very likely in Mumbai, officials said on Thursday. The Regional Meteorological Center, Mumbai (RMC Mumbai) of the Indian Meteorological Department (IMD) informed that in the next couple of days, the maximum temperature is very likely to rise even further with a possibility of heatwave conditions in isolated pockets of Konkan -- majorly in Mumbai, Raigad, Ratnagiri, and Sindhudurg. Sachin Vaze at NIA court

Arrested cop Sachin Vaze was produced for his remand hearing before the special NIA court at 2.45 pm. On March 13, Vaze was arrested by the NIA in connection with the probe into the explosives-laden SUV near businessman Mukesh Ambani’s residence Antilia. He was remanded to NIA custody till March 25. Seeking an additional 15 days of remand, NIA told the court that during investigations, it recovered 62 unaccounted bullets and rounds from Vaze’s home. Additionally, it said that from the 30 rounds officially allotted to him, only five were found at his residence. NIA wants his custody to probe where these bullets were used. Photo: ANI
