Bandra monolith disappears

A mysterious monolith that was spotted at Joggers Park in Bandra on March 10 has curiously disappeared. For the past two weeks that the monolith was in the park, it garnered large crowds who were intrigued by the sculpture. The monolith was created by an Ahmedabad-based artist who chooses to remain anonymous. Joggers Park was chosen as the site of installation as it is a publicly accessible location.

Param Bir Singh's petition before SC

Former Mumbai Police Commissioner Param Bir Singh on Monday filed a petition before the Supreme Court about his transfer to Home Guard Department. The former Mumbai Police commissioner took charge as the Director General (DG) of Maharashtra Home Guard today. He also moved the SC seeking a CBI investigation into alleged corrupt malpractices of Maharashtra Home Minister Anil Deshmukh.

Sharad Pawar defends Deshmukh

NCP chief Sharad Pawar on Monday said that around the time when Param Bir Singh claimed that Anil Deshmukh had called Sachin Vaze at his home, the Home Minister was diagnosed with COVID-19 and was in isolation. "Deshmukh was admitted to hospital for treatment of coronavirus from February 5 to 15, and he was in-home quarantine from February 15 to 27. Anil Deshmukh responds

Soon after Pawar's address, former Maharashtra CM Devendra Fadnavis tweeted a press conference video of Deshmukh from February 15 and claimed that the ministers were lying. To that, Deshmukh replied that on February 15, when he was leaving for home from the hospital, some mediapersons had gathered to speak to him, and hence, he had addressed them for a brief period of time.
