HR announces first list for minority quota
MUMBAI: Anxious students thronged HR College campus on Tuesday evening, as the college announced its first merit list for the minority quota in junior college admission. The list closed at 75% this year-2% less than last year.
"Last year, we received many applications, but we decided to stop the admissions at 77%. This year, though we have nearly 180 students who have scored above 80%, the cut-off has come down to 75%," said Indu Shahani, principal.

She added that they might not release another merit list in the minority quota this year. "Depending on how many people choose not to take admissions from this list, we will release another list. As of now it looks difficult," she said.
Most of the other minority colleges have decided to release their lists either on Thursday or Friday.
