Dharavi recorded three new coronavirus cases on Thursday, taking the total tally to 6,898.
Dadar
and Mahim today recorded seven and eight cases, respectively. The G/North ward recorded 18 new cases of Covid-19 today, pushing the total tally to 26,579.
The caseload in Dadar has reached 9,678 while the cumulative cases in Mahim have mounted to 10,003.
The total number of recoveries in Dharavi now stands at 6,518. Currently, 21 patients are undergoing treatment in Dharavi. The slum colony did not report any new cases of coronavirus three times in June. It had recorded zero cases on June 14, 15 and 23. On April 8 this year, it recorded its highest-ever single day spike of 99 cases during the second wave of the virus outbreak.
Dharavi and its neighbouring areas have witnessed a steady dip in fresh Covid-19 cases from May.
According to the latest data received from
Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC), the
active cases
in the ward have now mounted to 199, and recoveries to 25,635.
Dadar is now left with 112 active cases while 66 patients are undergoing treatment for the virus in Mahim area. So far, Dadar has seen 9,382 recoveries and 9,735 patients have been cured and discharged from Mahim area.
