College starts workshop in personality development
MUMBAI: While most city based colleges have started lectures for their first year degree students, some colleges are giving a twist to regular lectures. At HR college in Churchgate, the college has launched 'HR Pulse' for all its degree college students this year. At a time when students in other colleges are buried in their syllabus, students at HR are getting lessons on personality development.

"We decided to do something different this year that is not only interesting but also of use to our students. Our students are now attending classes in confidence building through theatre and dance, speech delivery and overall personality development," said Indu Shahani, principal of HR College. These classes are currently on for second year students and the first year students will undergo similar classes next week. "Each week, one batch of students will participate in the sessions. We have received very interesting feed back from all our students," added Shahani.
HR was one of the first colleges to finish their admission process for degree college this year and also one of the first colleges to start regular lectures. "We are hoping to continue such session for the future batches as well. Its good to see students absorb new developments so well," said Shahani.
