2 autorickshaw permits issued to one person at different RTOs in Mumbai Metropolitan Region

Mumbai: An autorickshaw permit was recently issued in the name of the same person at two RTOs, one at Borivli and another at Thane. An inquiry is being conducted in this connection.

A senior official said that the department has taken cognisance and will be cancelling the permit issued by Thane RTO. Activists have however demanded that there should be a full fledged inquiry and action should be taken against officials and agents responsible for issuing two permits to a single person.
