Two lekhpals suspended for taking bribe

BIJNOR: Two lekhpals were suspended on Thursday after a video went viral on social media showing them taking bribe from farmers in the name PM Kisan Samman scheme in Nagina tehsil.
District magistrate Sujeet Kumar has initiated an enquiry in this regard.
The suspended lekhpals are siblings. They have been identified as Sangita and Vinod Kumar. In the viral video, they can be seen asking for Rs 1,000 bribe from the farmers.
The farmers filmed their act and later uploaded it on social media.District magistrate Sujeet Kumar said, “Someone sent me a video on Thursday morning in which two lekhpals posted at Nagina tahsil were seen taking bribes from a group of farmers. I have immediately suspended both the lekhpals and set up an enquiry in this regard. Both the accused are real sister and brother.”
