Speaking on the occasion, Vaidehi emphasized how talamaddale is unique in telling stories and interpreting them. “This art form is a bridge between mythology and the present world. The theme of the programme is to look at the complexity of Kunthi’s character from feminine point of view,” the noted writer added.

Artistes prof M L Samaga, Jabbar Samo, Vasudeva Ranga Bhat and Prashanth Beloor enthralled the audience by enacting characters Krishna, Karna, Kunthi and Ganga. Music was provided by

Vidwan Ganapathi Bhat

and N G Hegde.

Varadesh Hiregange, director of Gandhi and Peace Centre, was present.
