NHAI initiates encroachment removal drive on B’luru-M’luru section of NH-75
Mangaluru: The National Highways Authority of India (NHAI) conducted a special encroachment clearance drive on the Bengaluru-Mangaluru stretch of NH-75 in coordination with tahsildars and the police department.
According to a release from the authority, the operation focused on restoring the highway’s right of way by removing unauthorised access points to ensure smoother traffic flow and enhance road safety for commuters. “Encroachments and roadside obstructions were systematically removed under the supervision of local administrative officials,” the release stated.
NHAI Mangaluru project director Abdulla Javed Azmi said that the district administration and police provided security and crowd management support, helping officials carry out the drive effectively. The authority further stated that similar drives will continue this month along NH-66 and other national highways in Dakshina Kannada.
