Boy goes missing after being scolded over mobile phone use
Mangaluru : A 16-year-old boy from Sullia has been reported missing after he allegedly left home following a reprimand from his mother over mobile phone usage.
According to a complaint filed by Salma,40, a native of Sirsi in Uttara Kannada, and currently residing with her husband and son at Borugudde in Sullia Kasaba village, her son, Syed Ali Syed Ghouse, went missing on May 30. The complainant stated that on the morning of May 30, she scolded and advised her son regarding his excessive use of a mobile phone. A short while later, the boy left the house and did not return.
Family members subsequently searched for him in the surrounding areas and made enquiries with his friends and relatives, but his whereabouts could not be traced.
Based on the complaint, a case has been registered at the Sullia police station under Section 137 (2) (kidnapping) of BNS.
