BJP, SDPI hand in glove: Hindu Mahasabha
Mangaluru:
Hindu Mahasabha state president Rajesh Pavithran told the media here on Monday, that the SDPI is a part of the BJP. “The BJP has been using the SDPI to divide the Hindu Mahasabha. The SDPI that the BJP promoted has become a threat to the internal security of the nation. The BJP tried to divide Hindu Mahasabha on several occasions. Now they have been trying to target our organisation through SDPI. The BJP is embarrassed to see Hindu Mahasabha growing as an alternative organisation for Hindus. Hence, they have been hatching a conspiracy against us. They will not succeed to end us,” he said.
Hindu Mahasabha state general secretary Dharmendra said that the tie-up between BJP and SDPI has been proven many times. “The BJP has even shared power after local body elections. They celebrated election victory together in Vamanjoor, after the election to the Mangaluru City Corporation (MCC) council. The BJP was seeking a ban on SDPI, when they were in opposition. Let them ban the party now,” he challenged.
“The Hindu Mahasabha has planned to launch a ‘Hindu Maha Vikas’ campaign from Dakshina Kannada district. The organisation will help families of Hindu youth, who are in jail fighting for Hindutva. The mahasabha will provide legal assistance to those Hindu youth in jail, and help them come out. Moreover, the Mahasabha will also help them to find a job,” he said.
The mahasabha will contest from all the eight assembly segments of Dakshina Kannada in the next election. Similarly, the forum will also field candidates for the next zilla panchayat elections too, he added.
