Tax collection centres to be open on weekends in Madurai

Madurai: Madurai corporation's tax collection centres will operate on Saturdays and Sundays from 7am to 7pm in March to enable the public to pay their taxes.The corporation teams are carrying out daily drives to collect taxes such as property tax, drinking water charges, underground sewage maintenance charges, and professional tax payable for the year 2025-2026, as well as non-tax items such as shop rents in 100 all wards. It requested the public to utilise the opportunity and immediately pay all pending tax and non-tax dues to the civic body without any arrears.
