Seats filling fast at new Govt College (East)

LUDHIANA: Out of the total undergraduate seats offered by the newly-constituted Government College Ludhiana (East) which is situated on Chandigarh Road, 94% are already filled. The college is currently offering seats in two streams- BA and BCom.

The students registered themselves on the centralized admission portal ‘admission.punjab.gov.in’. While the academic session had commenced with BA in 2018, the BCom course was introduced last year.

The government college, which is the third to have been built in the city after independence, was constructed on Glada’s five-acre land and around Rs 15 crore was spent on it. Principal Kajla said, “The college has applied for other courses as well including BBA, BCA and BSc.”
