LUCKNOW: More than 120 houses in a colony in sector 8, Indiranagar are marooned for the past three days because of waterlogging following light to moderate rainfall since Sunday and heaviest shower of the season on Tuesday. The area is inundated in knee-deep water that has entered the houses.
As many spent all day evacuating water from their houses, many were forced to miss school and offices. They put up a banner in the area announcing - 'Jal Bharaav Hataaiye, Vote Paaiye' (remove waterlogging if you want our vote).

Joshi, a retired NCC directorate officer, said he had been facing the problem ever since he settled here in 1989, adding that electrical appliances get damaged because of the problem.
Around 50 families could not send kids to school on Wednesday as school van drivers refused to enter the area fearing that water would choke engines.
"We are not safe even inside the house as water brings along snakes and insects and there is fear of electric shock," said
