UP's basic education minister suspends primary teacher for posting indecent remarks against PM

district was on Saturday suspended after he posted indecent remarks against Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s appeal to light diyas for nine minutes at 9 pm on April 5.

, a primary teacher in Odra village in Hardoi posted on twitter saying, “Modiji uses his IT cell employees far more than he pays them. Even before they could defend the Thali-Talli, he is now asking people to light diyas. But lighting diyas will use oil… But this oil will be burnt of oil makers and merchants but…”

order cited, in extraordinary times like these when entire nation is fighting with Covid-19 pandemic, posting such messages on social media by any citizen is definitely uncalled for. Such behaviour is against the code of conduct listed in the Employee Conduct Manual, and the act is not pardonable, read the suspension order.

Rao further stated that on instructions of UP’s basic education minister Satish Chandra Dwivedi, Misra was suspended after he was found guilty prima-facie. During his suspension period, Misra has been attached to the Block Resource Centre. Education officer in Hardoi’s Sursa block Bhagwan Rao has been asked to further investigate the matter and submit his report.
