"We are committed to making the state drug-free," Pathak stated. "These centers will offer comprehensive treatment to addicts, including medication and counseling, and will be operated under the Department of Mental Health or Medicine.

Patients will receive counseling to understand the harmful effects of drug addiction. Treatment will be provided through both outpatient services and inpatient admissions as recommended by doctors. Additionally, awareness campaigns will be conducted to further the goal of a drug-free state.

Pathak mentioned that a de-addiction center was recently launched at Ghazipur Medical College, and similar centers will be gradually established in the remaining medical colleges."
