Trained kids stage ‘Andher Nagri’ in city

Lucknow: Twenty-one children, who learnt theatre skills during a 15-day workshop, staged the famous Hindi play ‘Andher Nagri’ at Bharatendu Natya Akademi on Thursday. Written by famous Hindi writer Bharatendu Harishchandra, the play was directed by Apurva Shah. Vanya Singh Deo (11), who visited her grandmother for summer vacation, had joined the workshop as a fun activity. “I enjoyed preparing for the play. I want to become an actress when I grow up,” she said.Other main roles were played by Aarnav Singh, Samarth Chawla, Nikeisha Arora and Nianshi Kumar. Director BNA Dinesh Khanna and politician Aparna Yadav were the chief guests of the programme.
