Traffic cops suspended for negligence

LUCKNOW: Two traffic constables and a home guard were taken to task on Wednesday for laxity and negligence while discharging duties. It is the first time higher ups have taken interest to streamline traffic situation in the city and regulate errant cops. Constables Rakesh Babu Yadav, Om Prakash and home guard Anil Kumar Mishra were asked to regulate traffic at Valmiki Marg in Hazratganj on Tuesday.The three were nowhere to be seen even as traffic became chaotic on the one-way lane leading to Hazratganj police station. The conduct of the three was also found suspicious. While the two constables were suspended, report recommending action against home guard was forwarded to his commandant.
