REPL enter finalof cricket league

Lucknow: Riding high on excellent allround performance by Dhananjay Yadav, the REPL Crusaders Cricket Club defeated the Kuhu Sports Cricket Club by four wickets in the semi-final of the G 20 BBD Senior Division Cricket League at KD Singh Babu Stadium here on Wednesday.Batting first after winning the toss, the Kuhu club were all out on 163 runs in 37.2 overs. Openers Krituraj Singh and Mohd Saheem Hassan scored 14 and 13 runs, contributing 33 runs for the first wicket partnership. However, experienced batsman Ansh Chaudhury could not score much on Wednesday as he returned to pavilion only on three runs. Aniket Singh, Sachin Chaudhury and Bunti Bind scored 38, 17 and 16 runs respectively. For REPL, Dhananjay claimed four wickets and Kshitij Mishra and Ravi Singh took two wickets each.In reply, REPL scored 166 runs in 37.1 overs for the fall of six wickets. Though openers could not perform on Wednesday, Piyush Yadav (60) and Aditya Yadav Anav (17) added 32 runs for the fourth wicket partnership. Captain Shubham Chaubey made 14 runs. Savan Singh scored 36 runs off 51 balls with the help of one boundary. For the Kuhu club Surendra Kumar took two wickets.The second semi-final of the league will be played between Akhil Infra Cricket Club and North Eastern Railway on Thursday.
