Recruitment exam wraps up in Uttar Pradesh; 24 cases filed, 15 arrests so far
Lucknow: The written examination for recruitment of constables concluded across Uttar Pradesh on June 10 at 1,183 centres in all 75 districts, officials said.
The test was conducted by the Uttar Pradesh Police Recruitment and Promotion Board on June 8, 9 and 10, in two shifts each day. On the final day, fresh FIRs were registered in Saharanpur, Azamgarh, Kanpur Nagar and Jhansi. In Saharanpur, a candidate at Guru Nanak Girls Inter College was found to have a biometric mismatch during verification. After scrutiny, a case was registered at Qutub Sher police station, and the candidate was arrested.
