Spl messages, songs, fun activities bring smiles to senior citizens
Lucknow: It was a fun-filled day for the elderly as the members of Motivagers Club celebrated the International Day of Older Persons by visiting various parts of the city and conducting various activities to engage senior citizens.Young members of the Club gifted handmade cards with special messages to senior citizens.The groups of youths and senior citizens sang their favourite songs bringing smiles to everyone's faces.Senior member of the Club, Rishi Saxena, sang ‘Main kahin kavi na ban jaoon' while Ajay Tripathi sang ‘Tere aane ki jab khabar mehke' and ‘Patta patta boota boota.Another member Veena Chhabra added charm to the gathering by singing ‘Ek banjara raahi'.Other members Aarushi Saxena, Ramesh Veer and Govind Gupta also performed to celebrate the day.Club founder Gaurav Chhabra wished everyone on the occasion and said, "We try to meet as many senior citizens as possible on such special occasions and make this day special.""Through these efforts, we manage to bring smiles to the faces of senior citizens and get blessings from them which gives us satisfaction. We will try to organize good programmes for senior citizens in future as well," he said.
