LU colleges’ teachers can pursue part-time PhD
Lucknow: Lucknow University on Monday announced that teachers of affiliated colleges will be allowed to pursue part time PhD programmes from the next session. The decision was taken in a meeting between the vice-chancellor Prof JP Saini and Lucknow University Associated Colleges Teachers’ Association (LUACTA) representatives.
Saini said an online portal is being developed to ensure timely payment to teachers for evaluation of answer sheets. The university is also working towards implementing a digital evaluation system from the next session, he said.
He added that LU will soon constitute a sports council to encourage students to develop their talent and take sports activities forward.
