LDA orders probe into Ekana’s operations

Lucknow: The Lucknow Development Authority (LDA) on Tuesday constituted a committee to probe into the operations and management of Ekana International Cricket Stadium and the associated sports infrastructure project.

Officials said the panel will carry out a site inspection of the stadium and related facilities to assess whether maintenance, security and other services are being managed as per prescribed standards.

LDA vice-chairperson, Prathamesh Kumar, has directed the panel to submit a detailed in 15 days, following which the authority will decide on further action.

The Ekana administration clarified, that the survey by the committee is the part of routine exercise by the LDA, which is being conducted on regular basis.
