AYODHYA: At least 121 'acharyas' conducted multiple religious ceremonies on the fifth day of rituals as part of 'Pran Pratishtha' ceremony on Saturday.
While the rituals on the first two days were held outside temple complex, the ceremonies to bring the lord back to his seat were organized within the Ram temple complex Thursday onwards.
Mahesh Chandbhagka from Ashok Singhal Foundation was deputed as the 'yajman' for ceremonies that were conducted in the afternoon while trustee of the Ram temple Anil Mishra and his wife participated in the other rituals as 'yajman'.
The day started with the 'puja' of lord Ganesh, followed by 'mahapuja' of Lord Ram amid the recitation of 'mantras' and 'shlokas'. A round of the symbolic silver idol was conducted on a 'palaki' within the premises and 'mahaprasad' was distributed around 2.30pm.
VHP leader from Ayodhya, Sharad Sharma, said that apart from Lord Ram, his brothers, goddess Sita and Hanuman were also invoked and rituals were being held to please them during 'Pran Pratishtha' ceremony. The 'yantra' installed on the 'singhasan' (throne) of Ram Lalla includes all the immediate family members and his near and dear ones. Priests are offering prayers to the 'yantra' daily.
Every morning, before the rituals are held, saints and 'acharyas' deputed for rituals recite mantras and prayers to please the lord and plead with him to get up for daily rituals. The 'prasad' offered in the 'mandap' where 'hawan' and 'yagya' are being organised is offered through 81 pots. Holy water from various parts of India as well as 156 countries is being offered to carry out daily rituals.
