AKTU to start online counselling for over one lakh BTech seats from today
Lucknow: Registration for admission to more than one lakh engineering seats across 756 colleges affiliated to Dr APJ Abdul Kalam Technical University will begin on Monday.
Admissions to BTech programmes will be conducted through Uttar Pradesh Technical Admission Counselling, the state-level counselling process for technical courses. Seat allotment will be based on JEE Main and CUET-UG ranks, while private colleges will also fill some seats through management quota admissions.
According to AKTU officials, the entire admission process will be held online and completed in seven rounds. Candidates seeking admission through regular counselling must register at the start, pay the required fee and upload documents if they have a valid JEE rank.
Officials said this will be the only registration window for the regular rounds, and fresh registration will not be permitted in later stages of counselling.
Candidates will be allowed to modify their choice of colleges and courses only up to the third round. After that, the options submitted by them will be frozen and automatically carried forward to the remaining rounds.
AKTU has also made physical reporting compulsory after seat confirmation. Candidates who fail to report at the allotted institution will lose their seats, and no refund will be granted under any circumstances, officials said.
