2 held in posting, transfer scam

LUCKNOW: Two fraudsters involved in financially cheating a group of men in the name of facilitating their transfers and postings in various government departments were arrested by a team of UP STF from Vibhuti Khand police station area on Sunday.

The accused identified as Ramshankar Gupta alias Ashish Gupta (48) of Pilibhit and Arvind Tripathi alias Ganesh Tripathi alias Guruji (50) of Ashok Vihar, New Delhi had impersonated themselves as protocol officer and secretary investment of the Uttar Pradesh government to dupe gullible persons.

The team recovered five mobile phones, Rs 10,460 cash, 14 I-cards , one DL, 6 ATM cards, 2 PAN cards, several other documents a Khaki uniform PRD batch and belt, and three cars from the accused.
