KOZHIKODE: The district has reported Covid-19 among two non resident Keralites (NRKs) arrived from Gulf nations. The infection was reported in a 78-year-old NRK arrived from Dubai on May 7 and 23-year-old woman arrived in Kozhikode from Kuwait on May 13.
The 78-year-old NRK hailing from
Nadappuram
was kept at NTIC Covid Care centre admitted to the Kozhikode Government Medical College isolation ward on May 16 on the detection of suspected symptoms. While the 23-year-old female hailing from Orakkatery kept at Omassery nursing hostel was admitted to
KGMCH
hospital on May 15.
District medical officer Dr V Jayasree informed that the health condition of both of them is stable.
With this, the total number of Covid confirmed cases in the district has reached 33. Out of these, 24 of them recovered. At present, 35 persons including nine confirmed Covid-19 patients from
Kozhikode district
have been undergoing treatment at the
Kozhikode Government Medical College Hospital
. Apart from this, a person from
Malappuram
and another from
Kasaragod
are undergoing treatment at KGMCH.
