KOZHIKODE: Five DYFI activists, including a state committee member, who are accused of beating up three security staff at the Kozhikode Government Medical College and attacking a journalist, surrendered before the police on Tuesday.

The accused included the first accused and DYFI district joint secretary and state committee member Arun K (34), along with local DYFI activists Ashin AK (24), hailing from Chevayoor, Rajesh K (43), residing near Guruvayurappan College, and Mohammed Shabeer (32), hailing from Mayanad.
