Senco raises 121.5 cr from anchor round

Kolkata: The anchor investor portion of Senco Gold’s initial public offering (IPO) was subscribed fully on Monday garnering Rs 121.5 crore. The issue opened for anchor investor subscription on Monday as the jewellery major proposed to unveil its Rs 405-crore IPO for public subscription on Tuesday. The company allotted around 3.8 million equity shares to 21 anchor investors and raised Rs 121.5crore at the upper price band of Rs 317 per equity share (including premium of Rs 307 per equity shares) with a face value of Rs 10 apiece. Out of the total allocation of 3.8 million equity shares to the anchor investors, around 1.6 million (i.e. 41.5% of the total allocation to anchor investors) were allocated to five domestic mutual funds through a total of 11 schemes. Key marquee investors include Nippon MF, White Oak, Jupiter Asset, Bandhan MF, Max Life, SundaramMF and Franklin Templeton MF. The IPO comprises a fresh issue of equity shares aggregating up to Rs 270 crore and an offer for sale by SAIF Partners India IV of equity shares aggregating up to Rs 135 crore. The offer will close on July 6. The price band of the offer has been fixed from Rs 301 to Rs 317 per equity share. Bids can be made for a minimum of 47 equity shares. IIFL Sec, Ambit and SBI Capital are the book-running lead managers to the IPO.
