NEW DELHI: The Enforcement Directorate (ED) conducted multiple raids across Kolkata on Thursday morning in connection with an alleged lottery scam involving financial fraud and money laundering cases.
The investigation focuses on the suspected diversion of lottery funds to influential people, raising concerns of corruption.
ED officials carried out searches at various locations in and around Kolkata, including a prominent lottery ticket printing facility in Michael Nagar near the airport.
Additionally, raids were conducted at a luxury apartment complex on Kavi Bharti Sarani near Lake Market in South Kolkata as part of the ongoing investigation.
