Two electrocuted washing cattle in Kolhapur village
Kolhapur: Two men from Ingali village, in Kolhapur's Hupari tehsil, were electrocuted on Wednesday while washing cattle at a cattle shed owned by farmer Dhanaji Khemlapure.The deceased have been identified as Bhagwan Sonawane, 65, and Dhiraj Naik, 28. Police said they were washing the cattle using a water spray gun, typically used in automobile servicing centres.The water gun was electricity-operated. The current passed through the water gun, and Naik was electrocuted first. Sonawane rushed to save him, but came in contact with Naik and died.A case of accidental death was registered at the Hupari police station.
