Thiruvalla spa rape case: Another man arrested

Kottayam: Another man was arrested on Monday in connection with the rape and assault case at a spa in Thiruvalla in Pathanamthitta. The accused was identified as Akhil Kumar alias Arun, 36, a native of Niranom near Thiruvalla. Thiruvalla Police arrested him from Aluva railway station after he had gone into hiding. He is also an accused in a case for possessing a weapon and attempt to murder at Mannar Police station. In the spa rape case, the first accused, Subin Alexander, 38, and the second accused, Berlin Das, 27, are remanded in judicial custody. Akhil Kumar was produced before court before being remanded. According to police, search was intensified for the other accused persons in the case.
