Kochi: The high court will conduct special sittings to hear the anticipatory bail pleas of the accused in the Isro spy case frame-up being investigated by the CBI.
Justice Viju Abraham said special hearings can be conducted on Saturdays and that permission has to be obtained from the chief justice. The pleas are being considered by the court again as directed by the Supreme Court.
The apex court had directed to hear the petitions within four weeks. The bail pleas being considered are those of former IB deputy director RB Sreekumar, former IB officer VK Maini, former central intelligence officer PS Jayaprakash, and former police officers S Vijayan and Thambi S Durga Dutt.
