Kerala polls: Congress plans to field VS Achuthanandan’s ex-PA in Malambuzha

KOCHI: Reports linked A Suresh, personal assistant of the late chief minister V S Achuthanandan, with the Malambuzha seat as Congress candidate but he said he had not taken any decision on the same.

Suresh said that senior Congress leaders had held talks with him on contesting from Malambuzha but he had not given a reply so far. He also said that he still continues to be a Left sympathizer. Suresh said that he stands with those people who are against value erosion in the Left.



Suresh said it has been three years since the CPM expelled him. Though three appeals were given to the party state secretary and one to the Palakkad district secretary requesting to reconsider the decision, no reply was given, Suresh said. He said that he still did not know why the party expelled him. Suresh, however, added that the CPM should continue to exist here. TNN
