Yoga workshop at CSJMU starts today

Kanpur: CSJMU Kanpur will organize a yoga workshop on the occasion of
International Yoga Day 2026 at its campus from June 9 to 21.
The Yoga fortnight will be observed on the world theme ‘Yoga for healthy
Aging’. The inaugural function will be held at Senate Hall of the
university on Tuesday

Following the inaugural ceremony, a special meditation workshop will also
be organized by the Isha Foundation, where participants will be informed
about the scientific aspects of meditation and mental health.
A total of 15 events will be organized on the university campus and at
various institutes as part of the Yoga fortnight. These include a women's
yoga camp, a summer yoga camp, yoga camps in urban and rural areas, a
reunion of former yoga students, yoga therapy camps, therapy
workshop, meditation camps, an international seminar, special yoga sessions
for senior citizens, and the main International Yoga Day celebration on
June 21.
These programmes will be organized under the joint aegis of the Department
of Physical Education, the CSJMU Yoga OPD, and the National Integrated
Medical Association (NIMA).
