Woman kills husband, buries body in house

Kanpur: A woman allegedly killed her husband and buried him in the house on Tuesday following a dispute over Rs 6,000. Not only this, the woman slept for the whole night, where the body of the husband was buried inside the house.On Thursday, on the complaint of the man’s mother, the police reached the spot and started investigations. The incident took place in Surauli village under the limits of Bidhnu police station of the district. Umesh Kumar Yadav (35), a resident of the village, used to drive a private ambulance.Due to his job, he had to stay away from home for many days, while his wife Monica and two children and his mother Shiv Devi (65) stayed in the house. Shiv Devi told the police that Umesh came home on Tuesday evening. Umesh had sold a buffalo and gave the money worth Rs 6,000 to his wife Monica. “On Tuesday morning, there was a fight between Umesh and Monica on money. On Tuesday afternoon, Monica strangled Umesh to death,” the police said. The children were also present in the house. “On returning from school, the children asked her about daddy on which she said that he had gone to Kanpur. The children slept near the kitchen, while Monica slept in the room.” Their grandmother on getting suspicious alerted the police.“On being interrogaMonica revealed the secret of Umesh’s murder. On her tip, the police recovered Umesh’s body from the pit dug inside the house,” said a official. DCP Pramod Kumar said that the woman has been arrested after registering a murder case.
