Will never visit Bikru in my life: Khushi Dubey

Kanpur: Khushi Dubey said that she would never want to visit Bikru, the place that ruined her life. Khushi Dubey, wife of Bikru massacre accused Amar Dubey, got angry on being questioned that if she would visit her in-laws in Bikru village where 8 policemen were killed in the ambush by gangster Vikas Dubey and his aides, and said that she would never visit the place again. On the night of July 2, 2020, a case of robbery and attempt to murder was registered against Vikas Dubey, a resident of Bikru village of Chaubepur. The same night the police raided Bikru village to arrest him. However, Vikas Dubey and his more than four dozen aides attacked and killed eight policemen including a deputy superintendent of police. Later, the police killed six accused including Vikas Dubey and Khushi’s husband and nephew of Vikas, Amar Dubey, in back-to-back encounters. Vikas was killed on July 10 when he tried to flee from police custody while he was being brought to Kanpur from Ujjain in Madhya Pradesh.After this, the police had sent more than 50 people involved in the Bikru massacre to jail. In the same case, Khushi Dubey, wife of accused Amar Dubey was also sent to jail. In January 2023, Khushi was released after getting bail from the Supreme Court. According to the instructions of the court, Khushi has to go to Chaubepur police station every week on Monday to mark her attendance. On Monday when she had gone to mark her attendance. While interacting with media, she said, “For the rest of my life, I would not like to go to the village that took everything away from me.”
