‘No shortage of domestic gas cylinders’
Kanpur: District magistrate Jitendra Pratap Singh maintained that there was no shortage of LPG cylinders. "We have an adequate supply of gas here," he said.
District supply officer Rakesh Kumar said, there was no shortage of domestic gas cylinders in the district, and an adequate supply is being received .
He said that from Feb 1 to Feb 11, approximately 20,000 cylinders were supplied per day, while between March 1-12, the number increased to an average of more than 21,000 per day. The govt is continuously monitoring the gas supply system.
Consumers Anwar Siddiqui from Rawatpur, Arjun Nishad from Chaubepur, and Kamlesh Lal Kori from Kalyanpur area registered complaints about not receiving domestic gas cylinders on time. The concerned gas agencies were directed, following which home delivery of cylinders was arranged .
A control room was established at the district supply office for resolution of LPG supply related problems, where130 complaints were received via landline and 92 via WhatsApp. Of these, 62 via landline and 17 via WhatsApp, a total of 79 complaints were resolved.
Consumers can register complaints related to gas supply on telephone number 0512-2988763 or via WhatsApp on 6394616122.
