Dhanwantari trophy: KDMA sails into finals of T-20 cricket

Kanpur: KDMA moved into the final of the Ajay Sharma memorial T-20 cricket tournament for Dhanwantari trophy at the Kanpur South ground on Thursday after outplaying Adarsh Club by 17 runs. Batting first, KDMA posted 9 for 147 in 20 overs. In reply, Adarsh Club were restricted to 8 for 130 in their 20 overs, with Mridul Sachan top-scoring with 36 and Himanshu Rai adding 24. Babita Yadav's fine century of 120 and Isha Yadav's four-wicket haul powered Pink XI to 6 for 181 in 35 overs. Neha Verma added 16. Soti Thakur took 2 for 26, Priti Hazaria 2 for 29 and Aaradhya Singh 1 for 27. Yellow XI were dismissed for 106, with Shivi Singh making 20, Apoorva Singh 12 and Shivangi Gupta 12. Isha Pandey claimed 4 for 8, Anupam Rajput 3 for 13 and Divyanshi Arya 1 for 11. Six women's teams constituted by KCA are participating in the championship.Women's football: Trials for district and divisional women's football teams will be held at Green Park stadium on Nov 15. The team will participate in the state-level tournament in Gonda from Nov 20 to 27.
