11 complaints resolved on spot at Sampoorna Samadhan Diwas

Kanpur: As many as 11 complaints were resolved on the spot during the Sampoorna Samadhan Diwas held at Merchant Chamber Hall on Saturday under the chairmanship of District Magistrate Jitendra Pratap Singh.

A total of 143 complaints were received during the grievance redressal programme. The highest number of complaints, 53, pertained to the Revenue Department. This was followed by complaints related to the Police Department (26), Municipal Corporation (21), KESCO (12), Social Welfare Department (10), and Kanpur Development Authority (9). The remaining complaints were related to the Jal Kal Department, Food and Civil Supplies, Health, Labour, Transport, Development and Banking sectors.

The District Magistrate directed officials to ensure the disposal of all pending complaints received during the Sampoorna Samadhan Diwas within seven days. Emphasising the need for sensitivity, particularly in cases involving land and family disputes, he instructed officials to carefully hear all parties concerned and arrive at solutions acceptable to everyone involved.

Among the cases resolved on the spot, Rup Rani, a resident of Chakeri, raised an issue regarding an error in her husband’s name in the Khatauni (land records). Following the District Magistrate’s directions, the records were corrected immediately. Similarly, an error in the land records of Malik Singh, a resident of Fattepur South, was rectified. In the cases of Ramkali of Dalelpur and Rishabh Shukla of Rajiv Vihar, court orders were promptly entered into the Khatauni, providing them immediate relief.

Several district-level officials attended the programme, including Chief Development Officer Abhinav Jain, Deputy Commissioner of Police (East) Satyajit Gupta, Chief Medical Officer Dr. Haridutt Nemi, and Sub-Divisional Magistrate (Sadar) and Joint Magistrate Anubhav Singh.
