Teens drown while taking bath in river

JODHPUR: Two teenage children drowned while bathing in a river in Bali subdivision of Pali district on Sunday. One other is under treatment in hospital and said to be out of danger.


According to the police, six friends had gone to take bath in seasonal river Sukadi in Mokampura village of Bali subdivision on Sunday afternoon. People around rushed to the spot when the children began drowning. By the time they were taken out, two of them had already succumbed while the third was rescued in an unconscious condition and rushed to the hospital.

Those who died have been identified as Himanshu Lohar (15) and Nirmal Sen (17). The child who was rescued in an unconscious condition has been identified as Kshitij Prajapat (18).
